NAET
Acupuncture
-
NAET stands for Dr. Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique. This is a comprehensive mix of kinesiology, chiropractics, homeopathy, and acupuncture that can be used on anyone- infants, pregnant women, and everyone in between. Animals can be treated as well.
-
Think of your body as a pendulum. Food, environmental, beliefs, feelings, smells, and experiences can all shift the pendulum-which is considered an allergy. In Chinese medicine no disease or ailment can occur in a balanced body. Even if there is too much happiness, that can make the body unbalanced. The body prefers a balance of yin and yang.
-
This noninvasive allergy treatment called NAET can work on everyone including the elderly, children, pregnant women, and even pets!
If you have GI, ENT, glandular, autoimmune, respiratory, vascular, skin, nerve, musculoskeletal, or metabolic disorders NAET can help. There are many diseases that have been caused by allergens and therefore can be reversed or decrease symptoms once the allergens are treated.
-
Depending on several factors such as your age, the severity, the length of onset, and many others, will depend on how long it takes to become feeling like yourself again.
Treatments being done preventively may see more success quicker. 70-80% of people do feel better after 6 treatments. Ideally, NAET is a series of 16 treatments completing one treatment 1-3 times a week. The first 16 treatments are called The Basics.
-
NAET is inspired by chiropractics, so I will not be giving spinal adjustments like a chiropractor would. I will only be massaging the sides of your spine for the treatment portion. This is an all natural non-invasive technique that allows your body to recalibrate how it interacts with the allergen. Your body will process this within 25 hours as it goes through the meridians in your body. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been utilizing the meridians for centuries.

This YouTube video demonstrates how the muscle testing works.
The best part about muscle testing is that just about everyone can do it! Muscle testing in kinesiology refers to when you have a lever and you are able to lightly push on the lever to see the strength. So, your arm placed straight in front of you can be a lever. Push slightly and see if it drops. It shouldn’t, since you are strong enough to hold your arm up when someone touches you. Now if you place a potential allergen in your hand, then lightly push- suddenly you may have lost all strength. That would be a positive test of an allergen.
-
The Basics are the foundation of food that most people eat. NAET takes care of food allergies by breaking it down into the supplemental food groups. Which means it is your proteins, fruits, veggies, grains, salt, minerals and others. The Basics also treat major body functions that are fundamental to a happy life. This ranges from the acid and base in the digestive tract to hormones. If the body can function perfectly while also eating these basic food groups then 70-80% of people will feel relieved of their symptoms.
Treating the Basics will create strong gut health, which allows your body to feel less threatened to other allergens like peanuts or the environment.
-
No, you will not have to avoid food for long periods of time. You will need to avoid it for 25 hours while it goes through the meridians. After the 25 hours, you can indulge in the food item. This 25 hour avoidance is the rule of thumb for all treatments, not just food.

First, please realize the commitment, then contact me to learn more if you are interested. Then it is important to have lab work completed to see what is causing reactions and to see how severe the reactions are. The golden standard for food and environmental allergy testing is to have your blood drawn. Although there are different types of allergy tests, like the scratch test. The scratch test is not as quantitative as a blood draw and it may cause severe reactions on your body.

I recommend buying a medical grade laser which ranges from $50-$100. The laser helps assist you in staying balanced with acupressure points. I have a stock of different lasers in my office that can be bought.
Debt, HSA cards, checks, cash, and Venmo are accepted forms. Unfortunately at this time insurance is not an accepted form of payment, but a receipt is given and may be turned into your insurance company for possible reimbursements.

Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which is has mapped out points all over the body. The points have specific symptoms on when they should be used. The points in acupuncture can be stimulated by inserting a small needle into the skin.
These points can be stimulated by massage which is considered acupressure.
So once the needles are placed in the skin, relaxing for 20-45 minutes will allow your body to recalibrate.
-
In a perfect world, our blood, oxygen and energy would move freely through our body allowing for homeostasis, or perfect balance. Our body wants to be in homeostasis.
Acupuncture has mapped out points all along the body. The points create energy highways allowing free flow on that highway. If there is a road block, then traffic moves slower, or affects a different highway. So acupuncture helps move your blood, oxygen and energy to be back on track by removing any blockages.

Depending on several factors such as your age, the severity, the length of onset, and many others, will depend on how long it takes to feel 100%. We can discuss this and set appropriate goals once I understand what is going on. A rule of thumb for Traditional Chinese Medicine is this: Just like going to the gym one time, you’ll feel good but you won’t see a 6 pack over night. Coming in consistently will ensure the best results.

While there may be a pinch at the insertion, the pain usually stops quickly. The goal isn’t to cause pain or have you sit in pain for 30 minutes.
Muscle twitching may occur as well and is a common response.

The acupuncture needle is typically 0.22 gauge. These needles are small and mighty! They are very thin, similar to a piece of hair.
The length of needle depends on the body part. Longer needles can go in denser tissues, while shorter needles would be used on the hands or feet.
-
Yes! Cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na, Tai Chi or Qi Gong, and diet recommendations are all catalysts to help with the healing process. I also have electric stimulation that can be applied to needles. These are all included when seen fit.
If you are a NAET patient of mine, you have the option of getting needled during that treatment as well.

Auricular acupuncture is needles going on the outer ear. The ear is known as a microsystem which means the whole body can be treated just through the ear.
Our scalp, hands, and feet are other common microsystems along with others.
-
Scalp acupuncture is a newer theory in which follows Western medicine’s brain mapping. Scalp acupuncture can help with neurological issues such as strokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and others. It can also help with pain, tremors, vision, balance, or hearing.
-
Yes! Facial acupuncture can be apart of your acupuncture treatments! Facial acupuncture helps increase blood flow and produce collagen to help smooth over wrinkles and plump up the skin. It can also help tighten the jowls and chin.
-
In general, everyone can benefit from acupuncture. All populations including the elderly, pregnant women, and children are safe to be seen by an acupuncturist. Children can be treated with Tui Na or acupressure as well.
If you have GI, ENT, glandular, autoimmune, respiratory, vascular, skin, nerve, musculoskeletal, or metabolic disorders acupuncture can help.
